New York

On Friday night, we left Michigan and flew to New York to meet up with Bill's mom and Bob. They were there visiting Bob's parents who have never met Liam. So we arrived just in time for a late night dinner and dessert and Breakfast the next morning, then we headed home. It was so nice seeing Bob's folks!

Mackinac Island, Michigan

The next morning, on Thursday, after arriving at Houghton Lake, we got up early and took a day trip up to Mackinac Island. It's about a 2 hour drive north, then you take a 20 minute ferry over to the Island. What a treat, if you ever get a chance to go, you won't be disappointed. No cars are allowed on the Island, only bicycles and horse carriages.

The Grand Hotel from The ferry boat. Originally built in the late 1800's, this place is beautiful! Reminded me of being on the Titanic.

Liam looks so funny is this pic~ :)

Ofcourse, I have to snap all the dogs I see along the way.

After 6 o clock in the evening, men must be be in coat and tie and ladies must be in dresses, no pants for the ladies. This applies to hotel quests as well.

What a day! We had a great time and we hope to be able to visit again!

Houghton Lake, Michigan

When we got back from St. Augustine late monday, we took Tuesday to unpack, do laundry and repack for a flight bright and early Wednesday to head to Michigan. We flew into Flint then drove about 2 hours north to Houghton Lake to meet up with Bill's dad, Debbie and Matthew where they were renting a lakeside cottage on Houghton Lake. Bill was born in Michigan and has many fond memories of visiting Houghton lake as a child. It was a special treat for him to be able to share this with Liam and I.

As you can tell, Liam didn't last very long. He passed out while Debbie was holding him.

I got gooey marshmellows from the smores all over my face.

St. Augustine, Florida

On Sunday, the day after our fishing trip Bill, Liam and I got up very early to drive to St. Augustine to attend the funeral of one of Bill's friends. After the funeral service we had dinner at the Caddy Shack located at the World Golf Village. We've been there numerous times but this time we were able to catch some good pics. We headed home the next day, on Monday.

Deep Sea Fishing Trip

On Sat. June 13th, we took our very first deep sea fishing trip. Since it was out first we decided to start with a short trip. 6am-10am. It was a LOT of fun and we will surely do it again, next time only longer.

Capt. John Law and his boat. If anyone ever goes out offshore fishing please give him a call. He is professional yet fun, and knows where all the spots are. We caught our limit on red snapper in 30 minutes. You can find him on www.captandersonsmarina.com under charter boats.

Liam's First Haircut

Liam got his first haircut yesterday with Bill. The hair over his little ears were starting to hang over so we asked Melanie if she could just give those a quick snip. He sat really still which I was so surprised because I thought the sound of the clippers would scare him. Check out his face in the last two pics. How funny!

A little Insight

A lot of friends and family have asked Bill and or I our thought on the recent disappearance of AF flight 447. Joney, a good friend of mine recently sent me link to an Airline Captain's blog. He has some good points I would like to share for those that might be interested in reading. Jerry, I thought of you, when I saw this. THanks Joney for the link!

Scroll down to the second post, then read up.

So Cute!

I ran across this pic of Liam's first plane ride. I think it's so cute. He's looking out the window at all the clouds in the sky. Maybe he'll be a pilot just like his daddy.
