Liam's First Trip To Disney World.

We took Liam to Disney World for the first time and we all had a great time. I learned a few things that I will keep in mind for our next trip. I will NEVER travel down there between the months of May-Sept. It was way too hot during the day to really get to enjoy everything. I was so miserable on day three at Animal Kingdonm that we left and went to the pool at the Hotel at Saratoga Springs. We had a four day pass and didnt go on day 4. It was just too much. Liam slept thru dinner all three nights we were at the park because he didn't have a nap any of those days. All in all we had a great time though. Not something we could do more than once a year that's for sure. We took a TON of pics below are just a few until I can get more posted. Here is what we did:

Day 1: Epcot then dinner at Rainforest Cafe downtown disney

Day 2: Majic Kingdom (we had dinner in the park in Fantasy Land)

Day 3: Animal Kingdom then Dinner at T-Rex downtown Disney)

Day 4: Spent the day Downtown Disney shopping and walking around. (we had one day left on our pass but didnt use it)

I think we will try a cruise on the Disney Dream next. It's a 4 day three night cruise that I hear is amazing. The new ship sailed it's maiden voyage just this past January in 2011. So we will see. Maybe we will try that next. Liam got to meet Woody and Jesse. He could care less to meet Mickey. Good thing, the line to meet him was a 60 minute wait anyway.

Jen's last baby shower was this past weekend. It was nice. Lots of good food and good company. She has everything she needs and now all they need is Baby Maddox. Congrats again Jen and B. Can barely wait 5 more weeks!

Easter Sunday. 2011

What a fun day today. Although Bill had leave leave bright and early Easter Morning, we still managed to have a fun filled day with lots of food, family and CANDY! Yay for Candy. NOT! I literally went behind his back and threw some of it in the trash, the rest I will save for bribes. Yes, I bribe my child. (no, really I don't). After church we changed our clothes and went over to my mom's sisters house to eat a huge easter lunch. Then hunted over 80 eggs with 8 kids.

Saturday. Easter Weekend. 2011

I just noticed I haven't updated my blog in a while, so here you go. Easter was a lot of fun this year! I think Liam is getting the hang of it. It was so cute watching him run around filling up his little basket. So sweet! He also had a practice run at school to get him ready to hunt with the BIG kids (his cousins!) He did really well with the help my my Aunt Letty who was "guarding" eggs so he could get them. Thanks Aunt Lettty! We are planning our very first trip to see Mickey Mouse with Bills dad and Debbie. We have been telling Liam that he is going to go see Mickey Mouse and he gets so excited. I absolutely can't wait. Other than it being REALLY hot this time of year, it should be fun. Other than that we don't have much else going on. Really looking forward to the birth of my first nephew Maddox Whited. He should be here mid June. YAY!

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I took my lunch break to attend mass. My mom met me there with Liam. Lent is a very nice time of year. I have come to enjoy it as an adult because I think it makes me want to be a better person. Not that Im awful but because we always have room to better ourselves. This year, I have decided to give up desserts. This is very hard for me because anyone who knows me knows how much I love sweets. So, we will see how it goes. Yesterday was my mom's bday and I didn't even have a piece of her cake! :)

Not sure why, but Liam has NEVER been a fan of getting his hair cut. We took him for his first haircut when he was less than a year old and several times after that. Everytime he would het sooooo upset! Screaming, crying and just plain mad. Well, he got to where he would actually let my mom cut his hair and no one else but her. Not even me. Well, since my mom had been in the Phillippines, he was looking REALLY rough. Above is a picture to show you just how rough. In a mother's eyes, he's still perfect to me :)

Oh, BTW, if anyone has any tips or tricks on how I can get him to go and get his hair cut somewhere I am all ears!

Today was Liam's Valentine's Day Party at school today and I wanted to be mommy of the year (kidding) and made all his classmates treat bags. There are only 7 of them in the class so it was fun! His teacher, Miss Julia even got one too. Liam got to pass them out to everyone after class. He enjoyed that. :)

How many of you have seen Stuart Little and the opening scene has "George" running from his room into his parent's room screaming " it's today, it's today, it's today"? It was the day he would be getting his new brother. Well, since my mom is coming home today after a month long visit to her home country in the Phillippines, I feel like George. That saying has been playing in my mind all day. lol! I'm not gonna lie, I've missed my mom. A lot. I'm glad she's coming home and I know she can't wait to see all of us. It will be nice to have things back to "normal" :)

Gentle Discipline

I recently read an article on gentle discipline and it really got me thinking about a few things. Liam is at the age now where he needs discipline from time to time. I will be honest, I have done the "time-out" thing, and I'm not a big fan. Mainly because it doesn't work and really because it doesn't re-inforce "good behavior". So, from time to time I have thought of other ways to discipline him when he needs it. I read this article and a lot of it made since. We don't spank Liam, never have, never will. To me, physical discipline isn't good for anyone involved. I personally think it teaches children that "hitting is okay" when mommy and daddy do it, but not if you hit your classmates? Wow. Mixed message perhaps? Sorry. I was spanked as a child. Yes, MANY times, sometimes even with a wooden spoon (comes from living with an asian woman) and I'm not sure it really helped me "learn" a lesson. So, while I'm still in search of a form of discipline that will work for us, I will ponder some ideas from the following article. Oh, by the way, if you spank your child, I won't consider you a monster. It's simply something we have chosen not to do. Well, my mom comes back in a few days. I couldn't be happier about that. Liam is really starting to enjoy school. Bill's schedule at work is finally starting to get a little better and I am doing great! Had some bloodwork done yesterday to basically see how my body is doing after our miscarriage and to see when we can start trying again. Liam sang happy birthday to himself last night as he blew out 8 candles ( it wasn't his bday) and wanted to do it again. 6 MORE times. He's the greatest! So full of life. Boy, we've been really busy. It's been a while since I've posted. A lot has happened. We sadly had a miscarriage last week. We found out the week before during our first ultrasound that there was no embryo in the gestational sac. I wanted to wait a week and do another ultrasound before we did anything else. The following ultrasound showed the same thing and we miscarried last wed. It was painful both physically and emtionally, especially since Bill was gone. Thank god for my mom for taking care of me and thank god for my sister for taking coming over and playing with Liam while I layed on the couch in misery! It was awful. I know I've heard it a hundred times "it just wasnt meant to be" or whatever but it still doesnt take away the fact that I lost a baby and it hurts. I understand that god has a plan (oh beleive me I know this) but Im still allowing myself to be sad. I trust that 2011 is going to be a good year. If the good lord wants Bill and I to raise another child then I welcome that with open arms. If the good lord has another plan for us then we are already blessed beyond measure.
Bill has been extremely busy. He has flown more hours in the last month that he ever has since starting with his company. He was gone for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New year. I hope that this year will be different but Im not getting my hopes up. All i can do is pray.
We are also in the process of remodeling our bathroom so I will get some pics up when that is fianlly finished. :) Poor Bill, he never gets a break. That's about it for now. Oh yeah, I turn 36 tomorrow. Wow. That sounds kind of old seeing it written out like that. But my plan is to age gracefully! Just like my mom has. Ancient chinese secret: nothing and everything! :) Here are some pics that remind me daily of how lucky I am. I love this little guy more that my heart can hold. My dream is for him to realize one day jsut how much he means to me.

Weekly Update

I will try very hard to make at least a weekly post. A lot has been going on lately. Liam started his first day of pre-school this week. My sister announced that she and Brandon are expecting their first baby (although we have all known for a few weeks) and I found out last week that I am expecting #2!. Boy, what fun! I always wanted to be pregnant with my sister at the same time. Now we are. YAY! Our poor mother. Below are some pictures. Liam has been enjoying singing Happy Birthday to baby Jesus on a daily basis. I will have to post a video. It's absolutely adorable!

Liam's First Day of Pre-school

Liam's very first day of Pre-school is right around the corner. He will be going two days a week, from 9am-12pm. If all goes well, he will go three days a week. Right now he will attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Then M-W-F in the future. We are still on the waitlist for the three day schedule though. It's scary. Not sure why, but it is. I guess I'm afraid that he will be hungry or thirsty or sleepy or cranky and I won't be there to "rescue" him. Silly, I know, but I'm so sad over this. My mom will be going to her home country, the Phillippines, in January for a whole month so we wanted to get him acclimated a little early. She still watches him when Bill and I work so this will be quite the transition for him. I think he will be fine, it's me I'm worried about. I will be at work on his first day but Bill will be off and at home "just in case". I hope to go in to work a few minutes late so I can walk him in his first day with Bill. I keep telling myself, it's ONLY three hours. It's not like it's all day right? :)We lucked out, we heard many good things about this pre-school. It's called Little Lambs Christian pre-school and it's part of Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. It's a christian pre-school and we have been on the waitlist for sometime. We just got a call for an opening last week so we took it. It will be very interesting to see how Liam does... but at the same time I'm going to be nervous I'm sure. :(

Last minute Trip

We were very lucky to have Bill home this year for Thanksgiving. He missed last year, so it was a treat to have him here this year. He had to leave early friday morning to make it to work in ATL and since I had a long weekend off with no plans, Liam and I decided to join him. We got Atl early friday morning, around 10am and went straight to Mary and Bob's so Liam could see his Grammy and G-pa. Bill was on reserve and wound up getting called for a 830pm sign in to Harrisburg, PA. Liam and I went. Bill flew us there and we spent the night in PA. It snowed the next morning and Liam decided he wanted to play at the Hotel Park. We grabbed a to-go breaskfast and had a breakfast pic-nic in the snow at the park. We only stayed for about 20 minutes. It was too cold but Liam had a ball. It was Liam's fist time seeing snow. Here are some pics in random order.

I've been told that we've been MIA on the blog recently. I take for granted that we are with Liam all the time and Bill's mom and Dad don't get to see Liam as much. So, Deb, thanks for the reminder. Well, long time no post. I know, I know. I've been VERY VERY busy reading the Twilight Series. I am reading Breaking Dawn now. I always kind of chuckled at the thought of giving in to such madness, but now I'm glad I finally did! How addiciting it all is.

Bill is back to flying as Capt. Once again a crappy schedule, but we will make it through this (as we have in the past). We miss him a lot. Thank goodness for our new iphones and facetime! Liam gets to kiss his daddy goodnight everynight now.

Liam is potty training and I have to say, it's going VERY well. We got started with this whole thing probably a month ago and if we knew it was going to be so easy, we probably would have done it sooner! Liam gets so proud of himself when he goes in his potty! So cute!

I'm still working 4 days a week with Wednesdays off. I'm so thankful for that day. It breaks my week up and gives Lola her much needed "girl day" with her friends.

Liam had his very first trip to the ER. He fell and bit his lip (everyone always said this would happen) and it scared the HECK out of me. Thank goodness for my mom. Bill was gone and she went with me.

Liam is officially potty training at 20 months old. He has gone poo poo in the potty twice and pee pee a few times. We are still hit and miss but from what I've heard, this could take a while.

I have recently become obssesed with with Twilight series. So far I have read and watched Twilight and New Moon, now I am reading Eclipse and will watch the movie when I am done.

Update on a few Things

Let's see. What's going on with us? June officially started Bill back to FO, which, honestly will be a very nice change of pace for our family. He will be gone 2 nights a week and home 5 nights a week. WOW! A real hubby huh? I can't wait. I in return have started working more. Liam is getting more and more independent and I really don't feel as guilty leaving him anymore. So, I am working 4 days a week with Wednesdays off. Jen and Brandon both start new jobs in June. If you want to find out more on that you can visit their blog. They are in San Fran right now celebrating. :) They both deserve it and we are all so happy for them. This oil spill in the Gulf makes me want to vomit every time I see it on the news or read about it on line. All the families and wild life that has been affected by this is sickening. I am so sad about it. I pray that god has a plan and will take care of it all. On a different note, we are planning a trip to New York in July and also hope to make it to St. Augustine to visit Bill's Dad and Deb later this month. Liam will be 20 months old in a couple of weeks. We are working on the potty training thing. It's been fun and he seems very willing to learn. It's so cute to see him doing new things. It's hard to beleive he's not a baby anymore. We have so much fun with him. He's such a happy boy and he picks up on things really fast. We are so lucky to be his parents. I hope one day he knows how proud we are of him and how lucky we feel that he is ours!

I know this is a horrible pic, but I felt bad asking the lady to take it again.

Kind of a sad day. Bill originally sold this pathfinder to his best friend when he was working in the car business. It was brand new in 1992 when he sold it to Nick. Then when Bill decided to go to Flight school he bought the vehicle back from Nick, and has since had it for 10 years. Well Bill got a new truck last year and we've just been hanging on to this until we figured out what to do with it. Well he put it on Craig's list last week and sold it last night. He bascially "gave" it away. I was so sad when we drove off. That Pathfinder picked me up on our fist date. It drove us to St. Augustine when Bill proposed to me. It drove Bill to the church when we were married. And it carried our first baby around safely on many many drives. So I had to get a few pics to hold on to those memories. :(

Bill FINALLY got a good schedule next month. Actually, it's a GREAT schedule. 3 days on. 4 off. That's only 2 nights away and 5 nights home. YAY! THis is what we can expect from now on pretty much. Im so happy I can barely contain myself. :)

Well, we took Liam to get his bloodwork done earlier this week for the swollen lymph nodes that his pediatrician found in his neck and groin area. She kept reassuring us that there was a 95% chance that is was nothing, but as a mom, I tend to worry about the "what if's" So, he got his blood drawn on Wednesday which was not a good situation for him (or me) because they had to do it twice! The first time was in his right arm and Liam jerked him arm back when they put the needle in so they had to start over. The next time was in his left arm and it took three of us to hold him down. I turned my head to cry as soon as Liam started screaming! It was so sad to hear. :( The good news is, we got the results back yesterday and his Ped. said everything looked good "for now" . Whatever that's supposed to mean. We requested a copy of the bloodwork so we can show them to Bob when they come for memorial day. Glad we got all that out of they way and I don't have to stress about it anymore. Once again, we are very blessed and I am VERY thankful!

By far the best vacation I've had in a very long time. A FIRST since Liam has been born. Way past due I know, so it was extra special. Especially with it being mother's day weekend. He's growing up so fast. He's talking and walking and running and climbing all over the dogs and everything else. He's got scabs on both his knees proving he's a typical boy. He is 18 months old now. He's starting to tell us when his diaper is wet. He loves my home made smoothies and spicy food, just like his mom and dad. He loves to hug and kiss and is probably the most lovable baby ever. Everytime he sees or hears an airplane he points up at it and says dada-dada! I think he thinks the airplane is called a "dada" lol!! He loves for us to read to him and enjoys pouring food into the dog bowls. Sometimes thats a bigger mess than it's worth, but he loves to feed them, it's so cute. Recently at his 18 month check up, his doctor found some some swollen lymph nodes in his groin area and in his neck. Gonna be doing some blood work to make sure he's not sick, so keep us in your prayers if you will.

Bill recently flew his last flight at a Capt. (for now anyway) he took a voluntary displacement back to First Officer to avoid being based in Washington, D.C. I think the lord gave us this blind blessing. He will be home a LOT more and he will be able to spend much deserved time with us. Liam is in LOVE with his dad. The pics just go to show. :)

That's about it for now. I love my life. I love my family and I'm a lucky, lucky woman. Thank you Jesus, for all you have given us. I will be forever grateful to you and the many many blessings you give us daily.

This month has been a very rough month for me. I've practically been sick all month long. It started on April 1st, then it turned into bronchitis and that turned into pnemonia. I am just now getting all my strength back. Here I am passed out on my moms couch where she took care of me and Liam for a whole 5 days while Bill was flying. Willow took the picture me. Im better now, not fully recovered, but it looks like I'm on the down stretch finally. I was out of work all week last week with what started out as brochitis then it turned into pnemonia. Thank goodness it wasn't serious enough for hospitalization. I am finising my 4th prescription in the next couple of days and still working on getting all my energy back. Other than that, all is good. Bill is now sick though but luckily he is home all week to get better.

I asked my sister a question last night while we attended Mass for Holy Thursday. I asked her "I wonder why we call it Good Friday, when it's the day that Jesus died on the cross for us"? What's so good about that anyway? He died. But after some reading and research I learned that traditionally it was called Black Friday which makes a little more sense to me. I wish I were home with my family right now to focus more on what actually happend today 2000 years ago. It's unimaginable to me, so in my own way, all I can do is pray, reflect and hope that I come somewhat close to knowing what Jesus went through to forgive our sins. It is my hope that I can bring my own family (including myself) closer to Jesus and his love. I owe everything in my life to him and he is always there for me when I need him. I am thankful that I have him in my life and I am thankful for every single blessing he has given me. I love you blessed Jesus. When I stray, send me reminders that I need to be closer to you.

Wednesday was a picture perfect day so we decided to take Liam to the beach. It was really his fist time going since he learned to walk. He had such a great time. The water was freezing but he LOVED it. We went to the State Park where we knew it wouldnt be too crowded since we are in the middle of Spring Break here in the Spring Break Capital of the World :Panama City (geeze). It was perfect cause there were a lot of kids for Liam to watch and laugh at and no drunk college kids anywhere. :)

Our Fifth Wedding anniversary

Five years ago, I became Mrs. William Gregory Adams, Jr. March 5, we celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. No date night, Bill had to leave early the next morning on a flight and I had worked all day. So we plan to have a date night very soon to make up for it. Instead, we stayed in, Bill made Chicken Cordon Bleu for dinner and it was very good. Liam thought so too! :)

There is a certain isle we have to avoid at Super Walmart because Liam now knows where all the big boy toys are. He saw this and we were about to get it for him but they were out. This was the display. He cried when we had to go.. it was awful. :(

Bill know that tulips are my favorite flower. He planted me a tulip garden for my birthday this year. They have just started to bloom. I enjoy looking at them every morning. What a great gift!

This past Wednesday was probably one of the most beautiful days I've seen here in a long time. We had to get out and enjoy it. I took Liam to a nearby park for the first time. It's really for kids a little older than he but he was still about to enjoy it. He had a great time.

I almost busted my you know what going down this slide while holding Liam. Thank goodness we didnt fall. The pants I had on were really slippery so we went really fast and Liam was cracking up. He loved it.

For those of you that have been following our weaning story. Thigs were really, really hard on me emotionally last week. I wasnt ready to wean Liam. Well, I was ready, my head was ready, but my heart was no where ready. My heart kept telling me it shouldnt me this hard. I kept crying about it. It just hurt too bad. I was ok with the weaning part, what I wasn't okay with was how we did it. Cold Turkey. I talked to my mom one night, on a friday (we weaned on tues)when I got home from work and told her I was thinking about nursing Liam again. She advised well if he doesnt ask, don't do it. I agreed. Later that night I was holding liam and he pulled at my shirt. I nursed him in the hopes that it would be the last time. Kind of like my way of saying goodbye. It was so sweet. My sister asked me if I cried. I didn't. I kissed his sweet head and rubbed his little arms and that was it. I haven't cried since that night, and we haven't nursed since. It's a thing of the past for both of us. While it was one of the things I enjoyed most about motherhood, I know that there will be soooo many memories to be made. He's such a big boy. I got so many praises from my family, friends, doctors and strangers for nursing Liam as long as I did. 15 months. I know I havent talked much on here about nursing, to me, it's private. But I wanted to journal all this here for me. For Liam. So we can look back on it all one day on know what we did and how it made me feel. Now Im dealing with engorgement issues but hopefully that will all resolve itself soon enough. Thanks for all the words of encouragement from friends and family. I did it. FINALLY. We did it. :)

Instead of nursing Liam to sleep at night, this is our new "special" place. I rock him here, in this chair for naps and at bed time. It's such a special place now.

A New Chapter

Where to begin. Even before I became pregnant, I knew I was going to try my best to breastfeed our baby. I have not really discussed, in length my experiences with breastfeeding because I am one of "those" moms who was fanatic about nursing her baby. I am a member of La Leche League International but fully support any one's decision to either breastfeed or not breastfeed their baby. Liam will be 16 months old in a couple of weeks and although I knew our nursing days were coming to a close, I didnt realize out last day would be yesterday. My personal goal was to nurse Liam for 12 months and although we went past that, It wasnt really planned that way. Weaning him has been very long and difficult for us both (especailly me). I have cried more in the last 24 hours than I have since I lost my dad last year. I NEVER thought in a million years, it would be this hard on me emtionally. Thank you Bill, Jen and Amy for your ears and your help thru this. I am praying that I can make it thru this transition as painfree as possible. I love you little man, and I thank you for allowing me so many priceless, moments with you! I will forever cherish those moments in my heart. (typing thru my tears)

**Update**

well, it took over an hour to rock/sway Liam to sleep tonight. Surprisingly, no tears from him, just me. He lays peacefully asleep next to me as I type this. I found comfort in something tonight as I was putting him to sleep. I rocked him in my rocking chair that is in his nursery and it felt "good" something I wasnt expecting to feel so soon. I told my sister I am making a new routine in place of that time I would otherwise nurse Liam to sleep. I am going to sit him in my lap, as we both sit in my rocking chair and I will read to him. That will be "our" special time together before bed. (gosh can I get thru typing ANY of this without tears rolling down my face)? I have prayed all day for strength and courage and our gracious, giving god has given me what I asked for. I am grateful for that. I need more stregth as I finish this difficult task. Day two down. How many more to go?

Well, Thanksgiving is over, in ways I'm GLAD! :) The holidays are always hectic and although I don't consider myself a scrooge, sometimes I just like to be home relaxing with nowhere to go. This year, I got just that. Bill had to work so Liam and I stayed behind and spent time with my family here. While that part was nice, it was awful not having Bill here. That was a FIRST since we've been together.
Christmas is upon us, sooner that I realize I think. My mom has been talking about going away because it will be very painful not having dad around this year. Bill will be working again so not sure what Liam and I will be doing quite yet.
The Florida Gators Lost thier SEC Champion title to Alabama this past weekend. While I would have LOVED to see them win it again, I was more upset that Tim Tebow was so disappointed in himself. That was tough to witness! Poor guy.
Bill has some "things" going on at work. As of Jan. 2010, he will be upgraded to Capt. flying the CRJ 700. It is the 70 passenger jet opposed to the 50 passenger one he is currently flying, while it will more than likely be very temporary, it will be a good thing in the mean time. More studying for him to prepare for the change right now. Poor guy, does he ever get a break???? Liam is growing so fast. He hasn't had an interest in his pacifier for months now. For about four months to be exact. Thank goodness for that, just one less thing I have to worry about. He loves flying and has taken a HUGE interest in airplanes, Pointing up at the sky everytime he sees or hears one fly by. He has been around them a LOT so maybe, just maybe we have a baby pilot in the making. God help us. :)
Looking forward to 2010. 2009 was a ROUGH one for sure. Bill has some possible BIG changes with his job coming up in May. Keep us in your thoughts, that things work out for the best. Not real sure how things could get any worse in the airline industry anyway. :)

This year, things aren't going to be the same for Thanksgiving. It was Dad's favorite holiday and it has been really hard on us all lately. We miss him very much and it seems like crying is the only way to get thru the tough times. I have had my share of crying this week and last for sure. Nothing will make us miss dad any less but having family around will make things a little easier. We have been so busy and I feel so bad that I have neglected the blog so much. Bill's schedule is really tough these days so Liam and I spend a lot of time traveling to Atlanta to allow us more time with him. THanksgiving is this week and to be honest, im not even excited like I normally am. Daddy isnt with us this year and I've cried more than I care to mention. So has my mom, my sister and Im sure my brother too! ALso, this is the FIRST year Bill wont be home for thanksgiving. Im so sad about it but, tis the life of a pilot wife right? Uhhh!!!! :( If Bill dosnt get called for a trip, Liam and I will take an afternoon flight to Atltanta to eat Turkey with him Thursday night. Dont want him to miss out spending the holiday with his little guy! (and me too).
Other than that, things are good. Bill was home this weekend for the first time in months. We went to a filipino dinner party at my mom's house Saturday night. Good fun, met some really nice people!

Bill's New Truck

For those of you that know Bill, know that he has been LONG overdue for a new vehicle. He has been looking for quite sometime for the right deal to come along and he finally found it. He has been driving that pathfinder for way too long! A funny story about the pathfinder: When he was in the car business (before he started flying) he sold it to a good friend, Nick in 1992. Nick drove it for quite sometime and when Bill decided to get out of the car business and to go to flight school he was in need of a vehicle (since he always drove something off the lot as the finance manager). Well, Nick was getting rid of the Pathfinder (that Bill originally sold to him) and Bill bought it back from him in 1999. Funny huh? So, here it is,,, 10 years later and Bill has gotten a new truck! We still have the Pathfinder for now. It makes me sad to get rid of it... it picked me up on our very first date. Saw us get engaged and married... our first baby and so on. We may just wind up donating it to good will or something if he cant sell it......As for now, Bill is really enjoying his new ride! :) Maybe I should say, I am really enjoying MY new ride,, I have been driving it more than BIll!

We knew that October was going to be a really slow month for Bill at work and now that his hectic summer is over,,, Liam and I are getting some opportunities to go to work with Bill. Since he is on reserve and crashes at his Mom and Bob's it's a perfect chance to kill two birds with one stone. For Liam to see his grandparents and for Me, Bill and Liam to spend a little more time together. This weekend was perfect. We were there the whole weekend and Bill never got called to Fly! What a treat. Here a few pics from my iphone.

I got an email tonight from a reader and someone my sister and I went to highschool. Since she didnt post publically here I will call her "Jane"
Jane emailed me to let me know that she looks forward to reading my blog posts because we have very similar parenting stlyes and that we share many things in common. I went to school with "Jane" but never had the opportunity to become close friends. She shared many things in the email with me that made me smile from ear to ear and made me feel like Bill and I are doing good things. Thank you "Jane" and Miranda and Lacey for supporting us and for telling us what a good job we're doing. It mean SO much!
Oh and "Jane", I plan to respond to your email asap, Liam isnt feeling well and is up again.

As a mommy, I have come to realize a few things.....

As a new mom there are some things that I have learned that I would not have thought possible before becoming a mom. Here are a few:

1. When in public,,, older moms will almost always give me unsolicited parenting advice. Some I like,,, most I would rather not hear. The biggest topic for me is the topic of Attachment Parenting. Bill and I use this philosophy. It works for us. It means that we breastfeed (ok,, i do that part) babywear, and cosleep. If you chose NOT to do this with your babies, thats great, but we do. So please don't tell us that we shouldnt.

2. I have realized that my desire to feed Liam an all organic diet is coming to an end. It has now become almost impossible to do so. Well, I shouldnt say impossible, but rather difficult. If Panama City had a Whole Foods Market, this would be much easier. But hey,,, if anyone finds "organic gold fish" please let me know. I already found that Kraft makes organic mac and cheese.

3. If all Liam wants to eat is macaroni and cheese,,, who freaking cares! The boy likes macaroni and cheese. Plus, he is still (yes, STILL) nursing so Im really not worried at this point that he will become malnurished.

4. If he sleeps for 2 hours during one nap and 30 minutes during the next,,, no big deal.

5. I can't do everything at once. Sometimes, the dishes will pile up,,,, and so will the laundry. When Bill is home it's a lot easier, when he's gone,,, I am done trying to be SUPER MOM.

6. One of the biggest things I have learned as a mom is that I never, ever, in my wildest dreams thought it would be possible to love someone so much. Liam brings tears to my eyes every day. I watch him sleep and wonder how Bill and I got so lucky. I watch him play and discover new things. I watch the determination in his eyes as he tries to pick up the dog bowl that is full of water. I wonder how he sees that spec of dust across the room on the floor then crawls over to it to deeply "inspect" it in his tiny fingers. I find it amazing that when he does something funny he will look at Bill and I to see if we are laughing. I am thankful for so many tihngs in my life, but the biggest blessing of all is this amazingly perfect child we have. Thank you God for him.

7. Last not least, one thing I have realized is how good it made me feel when Bill Looked at me the other day while I was holding Liam and said "THANK YOU". I said "for what"? Bill said: "For him". No Bill, "Thank YOU! "

Still getting the hang of trying to feed himself. More wound up on the floor than in his mouth but the dogs didnt seem to mind. I actually let him "experiment" when I was done feeding him to assure that he got something to eat. He enjoys playing in his food more than he does trying to get it into his mouth. :)

Bill and I decided that we are going to keep the blog open to all readers. We are just going to be very careful as to what information we post here. We figure that if anyone reads this and shouldnt be then they know who they are anyway.
With that said. We have a ton of new pictures to post. Liam is growing like a weed. He doesn't want to be held as much anymore. He wants to crawl and is trying to walk everywhere. His first bday is fast approaching and I can't beleive where this last year has gone. Makes me very sad to think that our little baby is going to be a year old very soon. :(

We are making our Blog Private

Bill and I have recently discussed making our blog private. With all the pictures that we post of Liam we just want to make sure that he stays safe and sound. With all the crazies out there, we just don't want to take any risks. :) We LOVE the fact that so many of our friends and families read and keep up with our blog. We have even learned of people that are friends of friends or friends of family or even fellow bloggers that keep up with our blog, and we invite you to keep doing that. We LOVE it and this is why we made our blog. Just post a comment with your email address and I will add you to the list. Jen and I had the opportunity to catch up with a very good friend of ours from junior high/highschool. We all met for lunch on tuesday and had a great time. The goal is to not let time get the best of us from now and and remain as close as we were in the past.
